Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) better known by her stage name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released through Dreamville Records. She began to gain fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. The album was released on May 19, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013, Five Finger Discount. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her own single Bound along with her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. Sweat It is included on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21st, 2015. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to work with Rihanna. In December 2008, it was revealed that Rihanna had hired to Dreamville Records. Backseat is a track that she sang with Cozz in The Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. On October 21, 2016 her debut EP was released, titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and performed as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she performed in two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox dropped her first song Whipped Cream from Shea Butter Baby on July 16th. A music clip was released, followed by a music video September. On November 9 the singer released two new singles, 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Then, on November 13, she released two additional singles, titled The No One or Pdigree. She then appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album the same name. In February of 2019 a music video was released to promote the song. It already has over three million views on YouTube in its initial week. In December 2018, she performed as a supporting act on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour together with 6LACK.
